We describe an effort to share resources such that the maximum amount of gene-related
data is obtained with the last redundancy. Specifically, we describe the IMAGE Consortium
effort to share arrayed cDNA libraries, to have the data derived from the use of these
common reagents placed in public databases, and to use these data to create master arrays
containing a representative cDNA clone from each gene. 8 refs.
